Meet Dr. Michele

I am a Clinical Psychologist who works with adolescent and adult women, as well as all members of the LQBTQIA+ community. My specialities include the topics of eating disorders/disordered patterns with food, trauma, chronic health concerns, anxiety, depression, life transitions, emotion regulation, and relationships.

I earned my Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from Marywood University and my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with honors in Criminal Justice from Penn State University. I have trained and done Post-Doc training at The Renfrew Center Residential, one of the nation’s leaders in eating disorder treatment. I work to identify how clients use their relationship with food and their bodies to speak for their life chaos and their emotions.

My work experience also includes teaching a variety of psychology and criminology undergraduate college classes and working as a psychologist in multiple university counseling centers.

More recent experiences include working at a group practice doing outpatient therapy in both the office as well as primary care and speciality medical practices. As well as telehealth with clients across the United States.

My clinical orientation is an integration of humanism, interpersonal concepts, and cognitive behavioral techniques with a mindfulness focus and psychodynamic conceptualization. I am also trained to do EMDR.

I also have training in functional medicine focused health coaching through both the Institute of Integrative Nutrition as well as the School of Applied Functional Medicine.

Meet Dr. Cat

Dr. Cat, a.k.a Sigmund, may make an appearance in your sessions. During the pandemic, when Dr. Michele was forced to work from home full time, Dr. Cat found his calling as the unofficial therapy cat. Many clients find his presence calming when they are engaging in stressful topics. Dr. Cat feels he knows best! In his spare time, Dr. Cat can be found napping, snacking, chasing his siblings…oh, and don’t forget napping.
